SKI FOR EDUCATION DAY AT PURGATORY
Discounted day on the slopes benefits Durango Foundation for Education Excellence

Durango, CO – Purgatory Mountain will host the third annual Ski for Education Day, benefiting the Durango Foundation for Educational Excellence and Durango School District 9-R programs, Friday, February 17.

Lift tickets are only $25 and are now available at all District 9-R schools and Albertson’s, Nature’s Oasis and both City Markets. Discounted Ski for Schools Day tickets will be on-sale through February 16. Tickets must be pre-purchased by February 16th and DFEE will receive a portion of every lift ticket sold. Lift tickets will also be sold at the FLC Student Union Building on February 15 and 16th from 11 am -2 pm. Farmington skiers and snowboarders can purchase Ski for Education Day lift tickets at 3 Rivers Restaurant on Main Avenue in Farmington.

Discounts on ski lessons, rental equipment and lunches are also available for Ski for Education Day ticket holders.

Durango Mountain Resort and DFEE will also sell scholarship packages, which provide students who are unable to afford Ski for School’s Day a complete package of lift ticket, rentals and lunch. Scholarship vouchers are $50 and may be purchased by local businesses or donors.
