Durango, CO – With another big snowstorm brewing, Purgatory is happy to announce our first Local’s Appreciation Day this season on Sunday, January 27th. Take advantage of the incredible skiing and snowboarding conditions for less than half off a regular day ticket.
Adult lift tickets are only $29 and children’s lift tickets are $15 with a coupon found in this week’s Durango Telegraph and in the Durango Herald. Coupons must be presented at the Purgatory Main Ticket office on Sunday, January 27th to receive the discounted Locals Appreciation prices. Coupons are valid only January 27, 2008 and discounts do not apply to previously purchased lift tickets.
Purgatory has received more than 12 feet of snow this season, and conditions on the mountain are the best in recent years. The current storm system moved into the area late last night dropping almost two inches of snow before the resort opened. Light, fluffy snowflakes continue to fall and forecasters are calling for 9-18 inches before the storm moves out of the area on Friday. Today, 4-8 inches of accumulation is possible, with another 4-8 expected overnight and a light dusting of another 1-2 inches tomorrow morning.
