BENEFIT DAY CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
Local non-profits invited to apply for resort’s annual benefit day fundraising event
Durango, CO – Purgatory at Durango Mountain Resort is now accepting applications for the 15th annual Benefit Day event held this year on December 1, 2007. This fun and easy fundraiser provides a selected non-profit organization the proceeds from discounted lift tickets offered during the one-day event that kicks off the winter season.
All area non-profit organizations are invited to submit applications to be the 2007 beneficiary. Complete applications include a general description of the organization, what service the group provides the area community and how the donated funds will be utilized to further the group’s mission and services. This year’s selected organization will receive $10 of each $15 ticket sold; the balance will benefit the Durango Winter Sports Foundation, a local non-profit organization that supports youth participation in winter activities, selected as an annual Benefit Day recipient.
Applications will be accepted through Monday, October 1st and should be sent to
Annie Simonson
Director of Community Relations
#1 Skier Place

All applications will be considered by a committee of resort representatives that reflect a wide breadth of our local community.
