LOCALS APPRECIATION DAY AT PURGATORY MOUNTAIN
Durango, CO – Purgatory Mountain kicks off the spring season with a Locals Appreciation Day this Sunday, March 4th. Lift tickets will be only $15 for children ages 6-12 and $25 for ages 13 and over, with a coupon that can be found in this week’s Durango Telegraph and the Durango Herald.
Lift and Rental discounts are available with skiing packages starting at $25 for children and snowboarding packages starting at $35 for children. Full Day Lessons will be available for $35, not combined with lift ticket or rentals. Coupons must be presented at the Purgatory Main Ticket office on Sunday, March 4th to receive the discounted Locals Appreciation prices. Coupons are valid only March 4, 2007 and limited to one per person. The discount does not apply to previously purchased lift tickets.
Conditions at Purgatory are prime after a huge storm moved into the area late Tuesday and planted itself in the San Juan Mountains. 13 of snow have accumulated at the resort since Tuesday afternoon leaving the resort with a soft 60-inch base on 85 trails. The forecast is calling for a slight chance of snow today and then clearing conditions for the weekend.
In conjunction with Locals Appreciation Day, Purgatory Sports will offer 35 percent off all women’s, men’s and children’s ski and snowboard clothing including Helly Hanson, Marker, Obermeyer, Jupa, Orage and Siver.
