Two big storms early in the season, one with 33 inches in 3 days in December and another with 36 inches in four days over Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, have built a solid base and allowed the mountain to open all of its terrain by the first of January. Forecasters are calling for an El Nino weather pattern for the early part of 2007, which favors above average snowfall for the southwest portion of the country.
