PURGATORY MOUNTAIN OPENING THIS WEEKEND
Plus: Slopeside Studio Blowout from $129 for lifts and lodging
Purgatory, CO – Purgatory Mountain opens this Saturday, December 10th with an 18 inch mid-mountain base depth. Snowmaking crews have been out in force, with snow guns cranking around the clock making snow to add to the 16 inches of snow that fell on the resort over the past week.
The Purgatory Village Express 6-Pack chairlift will operate on opening day, offering top to bottom skiing and snowboarding with $35 lift tickets for adults. The resort will kick off the 2005-06 winter season by celebrating their 40th anniversary with birthday cake and hot chocolate, live music and the Total Telemark Tour.
Benefit Day has also been rescheduled for Friday, December 16th with $10 lift tickets and proceeds going to Trails 2000. Pre-sale lift tickets are available at Albertson’s, City Market and Nature’s Oasis and will be entered into a raffle worth a Purgatory Season Pass and a trip to Kirkwood Mountain in California. Season Passes will not be valid on Benefit Day.
Just in time for the holidays Purgatory is blowing out remaining rooms at the resort, offering one night lodging in a slopeside studio and two lift tickets from just $129 total (price is per room, or $65 per person). The Slopeside Studio Blowout is valid December 10 through January 1, availability is limited with some King rooms also available, and applies to future reservations only.
