SUMMER FAMILY FUN AT PURGATORY MOUNTAIN

With a plethora of activities ranging from easy-going to high-adrenaline everyone will walk away from a vacation at Purgatory with a smile.

Chair 4, adjacent to Hoody’s Base Camp, is the hub of summer activities with access to the Alpine Slide, Mountain Biking, Hiking and breathtaking views. For a mild summer adventure take the scenic chairlift ride with your camera ready to aim, unbeatable views of the San Juan Mountains and the Needles Range will make you feel small amongst the vast wilderness.

The mid-station of Chair 4 is the starting gate for the Alpine Slide. With two tracks winding down the mountain for more than half a mile, guests can choose to leisurely ride down the track or race the competitor next to them. A viewing gallery at the finish line is the best spot to take in the action and watch sliders come down the track.

For a more heart-thumping adventure ride the chairlift to nearly 9,000 feet with a mountain bike, Diggler or hiking shoes. Purgatory Mountain features more than 50 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails ranging from easy scenic routes to difficult race courses.

These resort activities, plus Miniature Golf, Climbing Wall, Frisbee Golf and more are all part of the Total Adventure Ticket. Full-day and half-day Total Adventure tickets are available at the Purgatory ticket office.
