SNOWSHOE AT DURANGO MOUNTAIN RESORT
 Explore the backcountry on snowshoes—all you need is a sense of adventure, we provide the rest! Our experienced guides will take you into the scenic San Juan National Forest, where you can enjoy winter’s beauty in areas you would never see any other way. People of all ages and abilities can enjoy snowshoeing because there’s no learning involved, you go at your own pace, and you can do it under a variety of terrain and snow conditions. We provide snowshoes & poles, a guide, lunch, and water. You will need sturdy, warm boots, heavy socks, ski-type clothing, hat & gloves—and gaiters are recommended. You will need to dress in layers since the weather can change quickly. We also suggest a fanny pack or small day pack with extra water, sunscreen, and of course a camera! Durango Mountain Resort offers three Snowshoeing adventures: Half-Day and Full-Day Snowshoe Tours: Explore Purgatory Mountain during the day with an adventure and a workout. Snowshoe Tours are offered half or full day and are great for all abilities. Tours include guide, chairlift ride and snowshoe rental. Half Day: $30 9:30 am to 12:00 pm 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm Full Day: $45 (includes lunch) 10:00 am to 2:30 pm Reservations are required with 24 hours notice. Please call Guest Services at 385-2147 to book your Snowshoe adventure.* Moonlight Snowshoe Tours Explore Purgatory Mountain by the light of the moon; moonlight snowshoe tours are planned during the Full Moon of each month. Take the last chair of the day up the mountain and watch the sunset and moon rise. Enjoy a wine and cheese party at the Powderhouse then hike down with your guide. Tours include lift ticket, snowshoe rental, guide and wine and cheese party. Moonlight Snowshoe Tour: $TBD Starts at 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm Dates Available: TBD Reservations are required with 24 hours notice. Please call Guest Services at 385-2147 to book your Snowshoe adventure.* Starlight Snowshoe Tours An alternative to our popular Moonlight Snowshoe Tours; just because the full moon isn't out, doesn't mean we can't enjoy a good night snowshoe tour. Let the stars be your guide, along with one of our knowledge mountain guides, as you explore Purgatory at night. Take the last chair of the day up the mountain and watch the alpenglow against the Needles Mountain Range. Then explore Purgatory Mountain, enjoy a wine and cheese party at the Powderhouse and make your way back down the mountain.
