Carpool Program

Objective

The Car Pool Incentive program is a benefit offered to all Durango Mountain Resort employees.  The program is designed, with the employee in mind, to assist with employee transportation needs.   Durango Mountain Resort voluntarily subsidizes the cost of maintaining the car pool incentive program for employees.  Therefore, Durango Mountain Resort reserves the right to discontinue and/or eliminate the car pool incentive program at any time, particularly if abuse of the program occurs.

Policies

• The car pool program is available to employees driving more than 10 miles one-way to work.

• Employees driving between 10-45 miles one-way with 2 passengers to DMR will receive a $10 coupon.  Employees driving over 45 miles one-way with 2 passengers to work will receive a $12 coupon.

• Employees driving 10-45 miles one-way with 1 passenger to DMR will receive a $7 coupon.  Employees driving over 45 miles one-way with 1 passenger to work will receive an $8 coupon.

• All participating employees must be scheduled to work the day of the car pool. 

• All participating employees must arrive together the day of the car pool.

• To receive a Car Pool Incentive “coupon”, the driver must sign-in on the car pool log, the day of the car pool.

• Coupons will be issued no less frequently than every two weeks, consistent with the payroll cycle.

• Any employee who participates in falsely logging-in will be terminated. 

• DMR reserves the right to disqualify any employee from the car pool program at any time.

Procedures

• Coupon forms will be maintained in share data on the network and must be assigned a numeric sequenced number and signed by the department head.

• Coupons can be redeemed in Human Resources during normal business hours.

• Directors must submit copies of the car pool log to payroll with the punch report every two weeks.

Summary

The Car Pool Incentive program is one of the many privileges granted to Durango Mountain Resort employees.  The success or the failure of the Car Pool Incentive Program rests with the steadfast conscientiousness of the employees at Durango Mountain Resort.
