Events Calendar

Purgatory is the place to take the entire family for skiing, snowboarding, moonlight snowshoeing, snowmobiling, Nordic skiing, terrain parks ... just to name a few.  The San Juans and Durango Mountain Resort offer virtually limitless winter fun for every member of the family.

Durango Mountain Resort hosts numerous events and activities year round, here's what we have scheduled for the 2009/2010 winter season at Purgatory.  New events are added often, so be sure to check back frequently.

Thanksgiving at Purgy's
Setting a new tradition for the second year, come join us for a Thanksgiving feast at Purgy's on Thursday, November 26th from 1:00 till 4:00PM. Located at the foot of the slopes of Purgatory, Purgy's is the premier place to bask in the beautiful views, enjoy the game on the big screen and a Thanksgiving dinner that can't be beat!

Winterfest showcases introductory experiences to multiple winter activities with easy access from the Durango area. This is a family-oriented festival that offers parents and children the opportunity to try a variety of winter activities that are not available at other Colorado ski resorts. Check out all the fun: Dog Sledding Experience, Introduction to Ice Climbing, Backcountry Skiing Experience, Snowshoeing Experience, Sledding/Tubing, Sleigh Ride Experience, Snow Cave Experience, Avalanche Training Experience, Winter Art Show and Backcountry Experience Movie and Speakers.
