Join us for the third annual 1st National Bank of Durango Muck & Mire Mud Adventure Race on August 9!   This mud and obstacle race offers several different categories of races.

Saturday, August 9

9:30am start time for 10K  designed for more serious racers
10am start time for 5K  perfect for families and recreational racers
12pm start time for Mini Muck & Mire Fun Run for Kids

Registration ends 30 minutes before race start time.  Costs are:

  • 10K Adult (13 & older) Participant     $75     
  • 10K Youth (12 & younger) Participant     $20     
  • 5K Adult (13 & older) Participant     $60     
  • 5K Youth (12 & younger) Participant     $20     
  • 1 Mile Kids Fun Run (12 & younger only)     $5

Online Registration has ended. You can still register at our Bodo office located at 327 South Camino Del Rio in Durango from 11:30 - 6PM on Friday, August 8th and at the DMR Festival Tent at 8am on August 9th.

Mini Muck

Bring your family and friends for a fun day on the mountain and get down and dirty in this adventurous race.   Stay after the race for a post-event celebration with awards, prizes, a beer garden sponsored by Steamworks Brewing and Durango Coca-Cola and live music by Bacon.

Childcare Available for August 9!

Childcare is available during the race from 8am to noon, Saturday, August 9, 2014.  Activities will be planned for ages 6 months through 6 years. Our childcare services are based out of the Snow Monster’s Den, located on the second level of Purgatory Village Center. Reservations are required. Please call 970-385-2144

Packet Pick up & Race Day Information!

Early packet pickup is available Friday, August 8 from 12- 6pm at the DMR Bodo Office, 327 S. Camino Del Rio, Durango (next to Office Depot).  

Day of packet registration will begin at 7:30am in the Festival Tent at Durango Mountain Resort. Day-of registration and packet pick-up ends 30 minutes prior to each event.

Guided Mushroom Hunt

Participate in a guided hunt at 9:30 am with state recognized Wild Mushroom Expert, Chris Ricci, proprietor of Majesty Mushrooms.  A quick shuttle ride will take you to the backside of the mountain to hunt for edible mushrooms with mushroom expert Chris Ricci where you’ll find mushrooms on the mountain that you can take with you to enjoy.  Savor a tasty lunch after your hunt then be transported back to the resort’s base area.   

Mushroom, Wine & Beer Festival

From 3-6 pm, the Festival features live music, educational seminars by Majesty Mushrooms and San Juan Mycology, beer & wine samples, small plates of delicious local and exotic mushrooms dishes, and a mushroom-infused dessert from local artisan ice cream maker, Cream Bean Berry.  Cooking demonstrations by Chef Sergio Verduzco with East by Southwest and Executive Chef Sean Clark with El Moro Spirits & Tavern.  Kids 12 & under will enjoy crafts, fun activities, and kid-friendly food and beverages.
