Starting Sunday, March 9th, Lift #1 will stay open until 4:30p.
All lifts will still open at 9:00a. The backside of the mountain (Lifts #3, #5 and #8) will close at 3:30p as usual. Lifts #2, #4, #7 and #9 will close at 4:00p as usual
Starting Monday, March 17th, all lift operational hours will shift. Lifts will open at 9:30a. The backside of the mountain will close at 4:00p with the frontside and Columbine closing at 4:30p.
This schedule will continue through the end of 7 days/week operations (Sunday, March 30th).

We ask for a 24-hour advance notice for guaranteed transportation service and require a credit card charge to be processed to secure the reservation. Reservations must be canceled at least twenty-four hours in advance of the scheduled start of the trip to qualify for a refund. New in 2011, American Airlines started a year-round daily, direct flight from Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW). In addition to American Airlines, there are a number of other flights to Durango (DRO) on major carriers like Frontier Airlines, United Airlines and US Airways from Denver (DIA) and Phoenix (PHX), all which have daily service to Durango.

Rental car services are available for your convenience at the airport by several major companies, including Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz and National.
Driving directions from Durango-La Plata County Airport:
Exit the airport by heading north on Airport Rd/CR-309. Turn left onto Highway 172, heading north. Turn left (west) onto Highway 160. Continue onto Camino Del Rio/US-550 North. Turn left onto Skier Place, which is the entrance to Durango Mountain Resort.
The only major Colorado ski resort that can be accessed by car without driving over a major mountain pass, Purgatory is served by major, all-weather highways from Arizona, New Mexico and Texas.
Directions from Pagosa Springs, Colorado:
Take Highway US-160 west to Durango. Continue north on Camino Del Rio/ US-550. Follow Hwy 550 north until Mile Marker 49 and Purgatory at Durango Mountain Resort will be on the west side of the highway.
