Delivery Driver

Position Title:        Delivery Driver
Reports To:        Unit Manager and Floor Lead
Department:        690 – Paradise Pizzeria 

General Purpose:

Deliver pizza and other food to nearby guests located both on-mountain and in North County area.

Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:

Deliver pizza and related items promptly to designated delivery area.

Provide locals and guests with friendly reliable delivery service.

Other Responsibilities:

Guest service and interaction as needed.

Assist Cook with preparation and assembly of orders.

Answer phones, take delivery orders, organize delivery orders.

Prepare orders for delivery, gathering all relevant utensils and condiments.

Maintain cleanliness of dining room, storage, and dish areas.

Drive large vehicle on snow-packed roads and in icy conditions.

Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:    Must have valid drivers license.  Knowledge of food preparation and storage, exceptional customer service skills and familiarity of surrounding area required.  Ability to make accurate change. 

Must be over 21 years of age and have a clean driving record. Background check required.

Alertness, precision, ingenuity, problem-solving, judgement, reasoning, aesthetic sense, imagination, patience, persuasiveness, speaking ability, tactile, olfactory and visual discrimination, memory, creativity, concentration, and initiative are required mental abilities.

Education or Formal Training:    Previous food service or delivery experience preferred.

Experience:    Previous customer service training helpful.

Material and Equipment Directly Used:

Operation of delivery vehicle.  Commercial kitchen equipment and cleaning agents.

Working Environment/ Physical Activities:

70% of the workday is spent safely, legally and efficiently operating a delivery vehicle.  30% of the workday is spent in the restaurant environment.  Frequently lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 70 pounds.  Occasionally pushing/ pulling objects weighing up to 150 pounds.  Occasionally operating kitchen equipment, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.  Frequently using far acuity, depth perception and accommodation.  Frequent exposure to fumes, odors and gases.  Occasional exposure to dusts, mists and poor ventilation.  Constant exposure to potential mechanical, electrical, burns and radiant energy hazards.  Frequent exposure to toxic, caustic chemical hazards.
