Some things get better with age. Like a fine wine, the San Juan Brewfest has stood the test of time, but had room for improvement. This year, Purgatory teamed up with United Way of Southwest Colorado and CookManFood.com to host the eleventh annual San Juan Brewfest.
Sunday, August 30th hop on your cruiser bike, head to Main Ave and enjoy a day of microbrews, food, and live music by A Dub Rock Band in front of Buckley Park.
Admission is $20 and includes beer sampling and mug. Tickets are available before the event at the Main Ticket Office in Purgatory Village , or at the gates on the day of the event.
United Way of Southwest Colorado will invest proceeds from the Brewfest into partner agencies that work in La Plata and San Juan Counties to make a difference in the lives of local families and individuals. Some partners that will benefit from the Brewfest include Alternative Horizons, Community Connections, La Plata Youth Services, Silverton Family Learning Center , Women’s Resource Center and more.
“United Way is very happy that Purgatory chose to partner on this event,” says Tim Walsworth, President and CEO of United Way of Southwest Colorado . “The Brewfest is a great way to support our community while having fun at the same time.”
