Slalom Training
Slalom Training at Paradise Race Arena. The Purgatory Cup is a four-race series consisting of two slaloms and two giant slaloms that are open to skiers ages 4 and above and all ability levels. The first slalom race will be held on Sun., Feb. 14, with race-day registration from 7:45-9:00 a.m. at Hoody’s. The cost is $8 per racer, per event for children under age 12, and $15 per racer, per event for racers ages 12 and up. Racer lift tickets are available for $25 with race registration. Races start at 10:00 a.m. and an awards ceremony will be held in the evening at Hoody’s. For more information and for race-day weather and safety updates, please call 970-385-2149.


President's Day Holiday Torchlight Parade & Fireworks Display
Celebrate the holiday weekend at DMR! At dusk, more than 50 instructors from Purgatory’s Ski and Ride School will carry lit torches as they carve a brilliantly winding route down the front side of the mountain. As the procession arrives in the base area, a spectacular fireworks display will explode overhead.

Backcountry Experience Uphill/Downhill

Join us for the second annual Backcountry Experience Uphill/Downhill event at Purgatory On Saturday February 13th. Competitors will race up from the base area to the top of the Purgatory Village Express Lift ( Lift 1), and ski back down to the base area. The route up will start at chair lift 1, go up Pandemonium and down Styx to the base area. Good Luck!!  Click here for fact sheet, registration and release form.

Purgatory Snowbiker Rally
Join us February 26th - 28th for our annual Purgatory Skibike Rally.  Skibike manufacturers Lenzsport, Koski, Geary and Brenter will be on hand for equipment demos and to answer questions.  The ASA (American Skibike Association) announces Greg Linder as the new ASA President. Groups will be meeting at the base area, and additional information can be obtained from Roy Meiworm via email at rageinroy@yahoo.com or phone at 970.759.1046.  Riders must be certified.  Classes & certifications also available.
